Typical Configurations
- Main body: A “T” shaped housing fabricated or cast from steel, stainless steel, or other alloys.
- Straining element (basket or screen): A perforated or mesh lined cylinder located in the branch of the “T”, which captures debris as the fluid passes through.
- Cover or cap: Bolted or quick-opening, allowing easy removal and cleaning of the basket.
- Drain connection: Located at the bottom of the basket chamber for cleaning and flushing out accumulated solids.
- Inlet and outlet: Aligned horizontally for straight-line flow, minimizing pressure loss.
